Statement of Faith

WE ARE a Presbyterian congregation of believers of all ages, diverse gifts, varied backgrounds, clothed in our unity of trust in Jesus Christ. We are committed to living out the Good News of Christ's love in word and action. We are a family of Christ, welcoming all with love, faith, acceptance, fellowship, and opportunities to grow as disciples.

WE BELIEVE God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created all of the universe, including us. We believe the Bible is the inspired and uniquely authoritative Word of God, and is our guide in faith and life.

We believe in Jesus, God's only Son, who came down from heaven and was born of a virgin. He is fully human and fully divine, He died for our sins, was buried, and was raised by God. His resurrection has conquered death, and through God's grace, we are offered eternal salvation.

Our faith calls us to witness and share God's gospel and love with our neighbors. We believe the Church is God's visible family on earth, bound together by common trust in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live blessed lives that express joy and gratitude for God's grace.

WE WILL, with God's help, be a safe and welcoming community of faith to all, sharing Christ's love by serving our community locally and globally. We will grow ourselves and our relationship with God and others through praise, worship, and ongoing learning. We will encourage others, strengthen our faith, and provide comfort to all through praying for our community, God's church, and the world.

As a unified community of believers with the Holy Spirit living in our hearts, we are called above all else to follow the Great Commandments to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love one another as ourselves.
